Celebrating National Food Safety Awareness Week!

Python
Every fourth week of October, the Philippines recognizes National Food Safety Awareness Week in line with Presidential Proclamation No. 160, signed by President Joseph Estrada in August 1999. This annual initiative highlights the importance of making food safety a priority and raising awareness of the practices that help protect consumers from foodborne hazards.
Maintaining food safety requires commitment at every stage of the food chain. From ensuring hygienic food preparation and preventing cross-contamination to implementing effective monitoring systems and complying with food safety regulations, every action contributes to safeguarding public health. Food industry professionals play a vital role in translating food safety principles into everyday practices that uphold the quality and safety of food products.
As industry standards and food safety requirements continue to advance, developing the right knowledge and competencies is essential. Access to relevant training and continued professional development enables organizations to identify potential hazards, improve operational procedures, and establish a proactive approach to food safety management.
The Institute for Food Safety Advancement (IFSA), Glenwood Technologies International, Inc., and Food Safety Trends PH support National Food Safety Awareness Week. Through education, professional training, and food safety advocacy, we encourage individuals and organizations to strengthen their commitment to food safety and help build a safer food system for all.
RAISE AWARENESS. STRENGTHEN PRACTICES. ADVANCE FOOD SAFETY.
